On February 16, the "2023 Second Forum on Collaborative Development of New Materials Industry in Chengdu-Chongqing Region Twin Cities Economic Circle" was held in Sichuan and Chongqing. The forum aims to strengthen the upstream and downstream docking of new materials and advanced manufacturing industries, and promote the cooperation and innovation of related industries in the two regions. This forum is to promote the Chengdu-Chongqing region twin-city economic circle construction Chongqing-Sichuan party and government joint meeting held after the sixth meeting, Chengdu-Chongqing two places in the field of new materials industry synergy of specific action practice. At the forum, relevant enterprises in Sichuan and Chongqing signed the "Chengdu-Chongqing New Materials Industry Project Cooperation Agreement" and "Enterprise Project Cooperation Agreement", and read out the "2+4" industrial cooperative development alliance initiative declaration of the Chengdu-Chongqing material industry, the electronic information and the automobile industry of the two cities.

The Chengdu branch of the forum is located in Wuhou District Yuehu New Materials Science and Technology Transformation Center (referred to as "Yuehu Science and Technology City"). According to the person in charge of the center, in recent years, Chengdu and Chongqing have been cooperating closely in the field of the new materials industry. The event will attract more Chongqing enterprises focusing on new materials research and development and manufacturing to invest in Chengdu Wuhou. "Taking our center as an example, it has filled the gaps in high-end aramid and other industries." The person in charge revealed that Wuhou District Yuehu new materials science and technology transformation center has attracted landed new materials chain main enterprise Lengine  Group. After the Lengine Group's western headquarters is completed and put into operation, it is expected to play the role of an engine to attract its industrial ecological enterprises to invest and layout in Chengdu and Chongqing and accelerate the establishment of related industrial clusters. In the future, he also said, the center will seize the emerging track of new materials industry, and make every effort to build a new material science and technology innovation source and a test area for transformation of achievements. Fully promote the cooperation with Sichuan University to build a comprehensive research device for advanced materials and devices under extreme conditions, and jointly build and promote a new pattern of collaborative development of new materials industry in both places, and contribute to the new materials industry to promote the development of Sichuan on a new level.
