Chairman of Beijing Kuangda Pharmaceutical Factory attended the 5th Belt and Road Forum for the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine and delivered a keynote speech.

 
In September 2nd, the 5th Belt and Road Forum for the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine was successfully held in Beijing National Convention Center. The form aims to comprehensively improve the quality and level of Chinese medicine’s participation in building the Belt and Road. Give full play to the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the construction of healthy China, to help build the human health community. The forum is co-sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Beijing Municipal People’s Government. More than 200 people attended the meeting, including officials from relevant Chinese and foreign government departments, representatives of the World Health Organization, academicians of Engineering, envoys to China, and representatives of enterprises. Beijing Kuangda Pharmaceutical  Factory, as an excellent enterprise in the field of traditional Chinese medicine and health, was invited to attend the meeting. Wang Lulin, chairman of Beijing Kuangda Pharmaceutical Factory, delivered a keynote speech.

The topic of Wang Lulin’s speech is . Wang Lulin said that traditional Chinese medicine has a history of more than 5000 years and is green medical treatment which it very valuable. However, traditional Chinese medicine is to use a variety of unknown active ingredients for treatment after syndrome differentiation, and has the characteristics of unfixed prescription, unclear composition and unstable curative effect. Therefore, in order to truly stand firm and lead the world in the front of human life and health, Chinese medicine needs to come up with products that can cure major diseases quantitatively and selectively, just like western medicine. This requires the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and modern science and technology, and continuous progress and improvement.

Wang Lulin said, osteoarticular diseases such as osteonecrosis of the femoral head are highly disabling diseases that seriously endangering human health, including: osteonecrosis, osteomyelitis, fibrous dysplasia of bone, osteochondral injury, meniscus injury, gonarthritis, severe bone trauma, cervical spondylosis, lumbar spondylosis, osteoporosis and so on, are serious diseases affecting human health. Mild cases will affect the normal life and activities of patients, severe cases will make patients limited function, and walking difficulties or disabilities. These are osteocyte and chondrocyte diseases, and there are no approaches or drugs to promote the regeneration and repair of bone and cartilage cells.

According to the combination of TCM thinking and modern science and technology, expert Wang Lulin’s research team studies the use of traditional Chinese medicine to promote the regeneration and repair of human cells. According to statistics, one-third of people worldwide will be endangered by bone diseases. According to the statistics of the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People's Republic of China, the total population of China is about 1.4 billion, more than 120 million people suffer from osteoarthritis, more than 120 million people suffer from cervical spondylosis, more than 200 million people suffer from lumbar spondylosis, more than 90 million people suffer from osteoporosis in 2020, and a total of about 530 million people suffer from bone diseases, accounting for 36.4% of the total population.
